She began her nursing career over 10 years ago with experience in both conventional and functional healthcare. She believes wholeheartedly in the importance of an integrated approach to care, while utilizing holistic treatment modalities as a foundation for disease prevention and maintenance of overall wellness.
A lifelong athlete and lifelong learner, Kelsey attended Kansas State University on a volleyball scholarship and graduated with honors to pursue her nursing degree at Creighton University.
She began working as a registered nurse in the emergency department which taught her an immeasurable gratitude for life. She quickly realized that she was passionate about caring for the whole person and being able to empower others to take control of their own health and wellness.
During her career as a registered nurse, she completed her advanced degree at Washburn University and became a nurse practitioner. She continued on in the emergency department, but found her calling in the health and wellness field in 2019. At that time, she completed an extensive training period with a board-certified OBGYN who specializes in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, medical weight loss, and IV/IM vitamin supplementation. She was then entrusted to individually manage multiple satellite clinics for a prominent functional medicine practice in Kansas City.
Epic Integrative Wellness is the culmination of her long time dream and goal to open her own wellness practice in the Topeka community, where she was born and raised. She sees that in today’s world, face to face, true human connection in healthcare is invaluable.
Kelsey is the mom to three sweet, silly, and active boys. She is married to her best friend Nick, a fellow Topekan and former Kansas State University football player.
